A Standalone Written Pitch

The project consists of two deliverables that serve the exact same purpose - they are the digital and analog variants of the same marketing material. These deliverables were produced to assist resellers in reaching out to business owners in the UK hospitality sector. Resellers often have limited knowledge of the capabilities of the YUMAPOS product line. For that reason the brochure has to offer enough detail so that all important points are delivered in the text itself:

  • What’s the main product?
  • How would this product improve a prospects’ business?
  • What additional products and services do YUMAPOS offer to fit into the prospects’ exact use case?
  • What is the precise cost of purchase and servicing of these product line components?

Fitting all of this in a standard A4 brochure without compromising style and structure was the biggest challenge for us.

The A4 brochure had to be produced in a format that would be easily editable with the tooling provided by Microsoft Office. Publisher is the solution targeting graphic-intensive documents designed specifically for print. Publisher has always been in the periphery of Offices’ product line and it has plenty of discouraging shortcomings. We can say that Publisher is a not-so-useful cousin of PowerPoint. Why not use PowerPoint then? Because PowerPoint documents are not suitable for commercial printing when any sort of raster resources are involved (e.g. cover photo, product imagery). This is due to the fact that PowerPoint can’t export an image any wider / higher than 3072 pixels. This is around 500 pixels short of the desired export size for an A4 sheet at 300dpi.

What is YUMAPOS?

YUMAPOS is a company offering a complete software solution that covers 95% of the needs of a restaurant or any business in the hospitality sector. This state of the art system integrates many endpoints in the cloud: ePOS terminals, an administrative back office portal, waiter handheld devices, kitchen dashboard, e-commerce website, and an interactive mobile application. The UK division of YUMAPOS is adopting a sales strategy that also offers a comprehensive line of hardware products that are fully compatible with the provided software.
