“Deep Blue” is the latest endeavor, undertaken by the Hong Kong based Shuǐzú Jiǔ Group. The company was founded in 2012 and in present days has spread out into three branches in the aquatic sector: design of underwater attractions, construction and installation of custom aquariums and livestock supply. The project in question is their take on the newly-formed niche in China’s consumer economics landscape. After the emergence and later on establishment of online shopping, mall owners are struggling to maintain the footfall that they once used to take for granted. This has led them to pivot towards a new breed of tenants - ones that offer attractions and amusement. The result is a new form of experience - a blend between shopping and entertainment. Shuǐzú Jiǔ Group is looking to secure funding for a three-year runway for the pilot location of their new project.
