An ultra-minimalistic pitch for an art hackathon. We wanted to incorporate a straightforward approach that would make our team stand out from the crowd. We were given 4 minutes of stage time in which we decided to fit a 47-second video demonstration of the project before the start of the actual presentation. After the end of the video, the goal was to deliver our lines within two minutes and a half so that we are done well within the given time frame, leaving a strong impression. Our project got funded.
The benefits of a solid background color
The solid background is a mandatory prerequisite to perform “backstage magic” in PowerPoint. In this particular case, we are talking about the sophisticated entrance animations. The scene is divided into three distinct layers: front, facade, and back. The components in the front layer are fully visible while the components in the back are only partially visible through cutouts in the facade. The facade, of course, is the same color as the background of the slides. Sliding the slides to the side during transitions and having high-speed fly-in animations with a heavy bounce finish further fortify the impression of a swift delivery.
